Two Tons of “Take That!” (on wheels), 2001

Two Tons of “Take That!” is a concrete jersey curb with 10 inset casters on its underside. It was maneuvered through NYC’s East Village, drawing an imaginary boundary through space, until the weight of the sculpture wore down the wheels. The broken wheel fragments were collected and were later used in making the sculpture, Vitrine containing wheel fragments crushed beneath two tons of concrete.
