TITLE: Dead End, 2006

DIMENSIONS: variable
38" x 11" x 11" (each bomb)

MATERIALS: concrete, steel, paint

Twelve concrete bombs are scattered in small clusters across the road, as if dropped from the sky by a plane. The installation simultaneously addresses the past, present, and future, compressing time into one moment: some of the bombs stand on end as if at the exact moment of impact, while others lay on their sides as if they hadn't moved in years. This conflation of time conjures a fallen civilization that we can recognize as our own.
